Wiltshire Police has released a murder suspect under investigation while they continue to probe the circumstances around the death of a woman.
A 31-year-old woman’s body was found within a residential property in Churchhill Estate, Tisbury, at around 6pm on Sunday (5 September).
Yesterday (6 September), touching floral tributes were laid at the scene as police officers guarded the front and back of the house.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Our investigations are continuing into the circumstances around the death of a 31-year-old woman in Tisbury.
“A 25 year old man, who was arrested in connection with this incident, has since been released under investigation.
“A police investigation scene remains in place at the woman’s home and our enquiries continue to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.”
Community policing Inspector Al Lumley said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of this woman at this difficult time. Members of the public can be assured that there is nothing to suggest any risk to the wider community.
“Those living in the area will notice an increased police presence especially around the Churchill Estate area as our investigations continue. If anyone has any concerns please speak to our officers at the scene. ”
