A man’s been rescued after attempting to jump off a Swindon town centre car park today.
Police officers rushed to the Brunel West Car Park on Farnsby Street at around 11am.
Four police cars were parked on the busy road, blocking motorists as they dealt with the incident.
A witness, who didn’t want to be named, said: “I saw the guy on the edge of the car park, I really though he was going to jump. It wouldn’t have been a nice sight for those stood watching.”
At around 11.30am, officers at the scene confirmed the man had been brought down from the edge.
A police spokesperson said: We were called at 11am to concerns for the welfare of a man in the Brunel West car park, Swindon. Officers engaged with the man and he has been taken home.”
