Bristol police have launched a missing persons investigation following the disappearance of a trainee nurse who was on placement at Southmead Hospital.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed that Anna Lewis, 27, from Fishponds, was last seen at 12.15pm on Thursday 13 April, leaving the hospital.

Her disappearance is out of character and concern is growing for her welfare.

DS Nicholas Lawson, of Bristol Investigations, said: “Anna has been known to go on camping trips without telling others, but never for this amount of time.

“We’re liaising with other police forces as part of our continuing enquiries.

“Anna is described as white, 5ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins, of slim build, with brown eyes and long dark brown hair, which she tends to wear in a low ponytail.

“The clothing she tends to wear includes jeans or walking trousers, hiking boots, and loose jumpers.”

Can you help police? If you see Anna or know where she is, please call 999 and give the call handler the reference number 5217088178.
