Wiltshire Police has said it is increasing patrols in the Corsham area after a female dog walker was touched inappropriately by a stranger.

The incident took place on Pockeridge Drive yesterday, 6 March, at 3.20pm.

A 48-year-old woman was walking her dogs when she was approached by a man. He inappropriately touched the her, before walking away.

The man is described as white, aged between 35 and 40 years old, approximately 5 ft 5 inches tall, with a round face and of average build. He had short dark blonde hair and a pale complexion. He spoke with a foreign accent.

PCSO Shaun Redmond said: “Officers attended the scene after receiving the report and an area search was carried out, but unfortunately, we were not able to locate the man.

“The incident understandably left the woman feeling shaken and upset.

“We will be increasing patrols in the area and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Pockeridge Drive yesterday between 3pm and 4pm. Did you see this man prior to, or after the incident? You could have vital information.”

Can you help the police? Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
