Police offices in Swindon are on the hunt for two moped thieves who took the bike and then collided with a lamp post during their getaway.
The bike was originally taken from Tunnicliffe Close, near the Marriott Hotel in Old town, overnight between Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 September.
In a video on our Facebook page, CCTV show the rider and passenger riding on the stolen bike but then colliding with a lamp post in the Park South area. The rider then stands up and leaves. An hour later the passenger, who also walks off, returns and takes the bike away. The male rider is described as: white, approx. 5′ 7″ – 5’9″ tall , wearing a grey padded vest with a black top underneath; he was also wearing navy blue tracksuit bottoms with stripes down the sides and white trainers and a white and orange helmet. The passenger is described as: a white male, approx. 5′ 7″ – 5’9″ tall, wearing a black hooded top with white stripes on the sleeves, navy blue jeans and black trainers. The bike was later found in a garaged area of Netherton Close, Swindon.
