Police are hunting a driver who hit an e-scooter rider before fleeing the scene.

The incident happened in Swindon Road, on the stretch between The Dockle Farmhouse towards Greenbridge, between 2.50pm and 3.05pm on 9 September.

A 20-year-old man wearing orange high-visibility clothing was riding an e-scooter.

As he approached the junction of Stratton Road, the man was hit by a vehicle, which caused him to fall from the e-scooter, lose consciousness and sustain injuries to his face and arms.

The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop and did not report the collision.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam footage.

“If you can help, call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220095282. Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
