The police helicopter has been circling Swindon in a search for a missing person.
The National Police Air Service aircraft, from Bournemouth, was seen over the town from around 6.45pm to assist local officers search for a missing girl – who’s said to be classified as high risk.
The helicopter initially focused its search in the skies above Liden, Eldene and Dorcan before moving over towards central Swindon.
A local resident claims a police officer approached them in Fleet Street, stating they were looking for a girl wearing black clothing with a hood and green and red trainers.
A significant number of police vehicles have been sighted patrolling the area.
Wiltshire Police is yet to issue a formal missing person appeal.
