Officers were called to Kellaways, which crosses the River Avon, this morning (Monday).

The countryside route, linking East Tytherton with Langley Burrell, was closed and is likely to remain shut for the foreseeable future.

A force spokesperson said: “Due to flooding the road from the bridge at Kellaways to Langley Burrell has been closed for the foreseeable.

“Drivers are requested to find alternative routes and to adhere to road closures.”
