Ten new special constables have joined Wiltshire Police today.
After weeks of intensive training around their normal day jobs, the unpaid members of the force – who have the same powers as regular police officers – have passed their final assessments.

It brings the total number of volunteer officers on Wiltshire’s special constabulary to more than 300, making the squad one of the biggest in the region.
