Police have closed a central Swindon road in response to a serious incident.
Farnsby Street is closed between Faringdon Road and Commercial Road following an emergency at around 3pm this afternoon (Tuesday).
It’s believed officers are dealing with a welfare-related incident in the car park, but this has not yet been confirmed.
UPDATE: Wiltshire Police have confirmed that the incident was “mental health-related incident”.
A person is understood to have been in distress on the edge of the multi-storey car park.
The force said that the incident was resolved safely and road closures have been lifted.
