Police were called to an incident at Swindon bus station on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers raced to reports of a disorder breaking out off Manchester Road at around 4.45pm yesterday (17 August).

A number of people were believed to be involved in an altercation over a potentially stolen bicycle.

Locals say they saw at least six police vehicles in attendance.

The bicycle was seized by police whilst they establish the true owner of the item.

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “Officers were called at around 4.45pm yesterday (17/08) to Swindon bus station over a disorder concerning a potentially stolen bicycle.

“The bicycle in question was seized and taken to Gablecross for enquiries.”
