Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to a crash that happened nearly nine months ago.
Two children were struck by a vehicle in Beechcroft Road, Swindon, on 11 December 2023.
Now, more than 38 weeks on, officers say they’re investigating the incident and want to obtain witness statements and dashcam footage.
Most dashcams overwrite footage as the vehicle is driven, meaning there’s a low possibility of there being any surviving footage of the incident.
At the time, police said two schoolchildren were hit near near St Philip’s Church – and aren’t thought to have sustained significant injuries.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police wrote: “Officers investigating a road traffic collision in Beechcroft Road, Swindon, on 11 December last year, are further appealing for witnesses.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area shortly after 3pm and witnessed the single vehicle road traffic collision in which two children were injured.
“If you were there, or may have dashcam footage taken from the time please contact us on 101 quoting log 54230131263.”
