People are risking their lives by walking on live railway lines near Swindon.
Swindon and Cricklade Railway say locals are ignoring their pleas not to access their private land and walk on the tracks whilst the site is closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Today’s incident – the fifth over the past two weeks – was witnessed by staff at 5.20pm and appears to show two people walking in the middle of the railway line.
The charity has reissued its advice not to walk on the tracks under any circumstances.
In late April, some of the railways surrounding fences were damaged by members of the public illegally accessing the railway line. In these incidents, people also walked along the live tracks.
