The orange glow from a static caravan blaze ‘could be seen a mile away’.
Fire crews raced to reports of a fire in Braydon, in the countryside north of Royal Wootton Bassett, at around 6.40pm on Sunday (18 January).
Three firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and one main jet to tackle the raging flames.

According to Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, the “glow could be approx. 1 mile prior to arrival on scene”.
Adding: “On arrival we were greeted with a large static caravan well alight.
“Lucky for us this home was empty and not connected up to gas supply.”
The incident was over by 9pm, with fire crews leaving the scene.
