One person has been hospitalised after a driver flipped a car up a verge in a dramatic crash on a rural Wiltshire route.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3098 just outside Urchfont, near Devizes, at around 1.10pm on Wednesday (21 January).
The incident involved a black car, believed to be a Ford S-Max, crashing up a high verge and overturning in a field near Crooks Lane.
Two ambulances, two fire engines and several police units were sent to the scene – with one person sustaining injuries.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said that crews from Melksham and Calne attended, and on arrival found a vehicle on its roof.
“All occupants of the vehicle were already out on our arrival and crews checked the vehicle to make it safe before leaving”, a spokesperson confirmed.
South Western Ambulance Service said that one casualty was taken to Salisbury District Hospital for treatment.
Wiltshire Police added that nobody is thought to have sustained serious injuries.
The road was partially blocked for around three hours while the incident was dealt with.
