A murderer is on the run after being released on licence, Wiltshire Police says.

Pradeep Sivanesan was jailed after he attacked his victim before taking him to a park in London, dousing him in petrol and setting him on fire.

The now-37-year-old, was jailed for murder and later released on licence but has failed to stick to the strict conditions.

He was ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years for the murder in 2003 and was later released on licence.

Originally from Sri Lanka, he has links to Switzerland, London and Swindon.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “You may have also seen this appeal featured on BBC Crimewatch Live yesterday (08/09).

“Anyone who knows where Pradeep might be is asked to call us on 101.

“Or you can report crime anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Crimestoppers is an independent charity helping to find criminals and help solve crimes.”
