A minibus driver has died after collapsing at the wheel in central Swindon.
Emergency services, including air ambulance medics, were called to the serious incident in Station Road at around 7.20am this morning (Monday).
An Akcess bus impacted a bus stop after the driver reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at the wheel of the vehicle.
The man – aged in his 70s – was treated at the scene, but was later pronounced dead.
The road was blocked by emergency vehicles and the area was taped off for around two hours.
The man’s family have been informed, Wiltshire Police told BBC News.
It’s understood the bus wasn’t carrying any passengers at the time of the incident.
