A man remains in custody after two women were injured during a disorder in Melksham.
Emergency services were called to Cotswold Close, off Westbury View, at around 5.30pm on Saturday (14 March) following reports of serious incident unfolding.
Around 15 police officers swarmed the area – and discovered that a woman has been stabbed. A second woman sustained an injury to her wrist.

The casualties were treated by ambulance crews and critical care medics from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, who attended in a rapid response vehicle.
A 20-year-old man, who was naked, attempted to flee the scene. He was detained by a local resident in Blackmore Road before being arrested and taken to custody.

The suspect remains in the cells for questioning by detectives this morning (Sunday), held on suspicion of inflecting grievous bodily harm with intent.
A cordon was in place for around an hour while 999 crews attended the incident. It was lifted at 6.30pm, and the focus for detectives appeared to be two properties in the cul-de-sac.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police: “A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following a disorder in Cotswold Close, Melksham at about 5.30pm yesterday (14/03).
“A woman has been treated for superficial stab injuries, and another woman was treated for a wrist injury.
“The suspect remains in police custody.”
