A Melksham man has appeared in court accused of stabbing his step-mum.
20-year-old Carlyle Anderson is alleged to have knifed Chloe Von Bialy with a machete at their home in Wellesley Close on Monday (25 March).
The defendant appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday) charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a blade in public.
Prosecutor David Logan-Rose claimed the victim was struck with the large knife when she questioned why he was wearing a ski mask.
Ms Von Bialy sustained a one inch laceration to her breast bone. Anderson is said to have left the address – still armed with the weapon – moments later.
He was arrested in Haxifax Road, a short distance from the scene of the incident.
The defendant was remanded in custody to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on 24 April.
