A man has been charged in connection with a knife incident in Swindon yesterday.
Armed police were called to reports of a woman being threatened with a blade in Godwin Court, Swindon, at around 8am on Tuesday (4 June).
Three men were handcuffed and taken into custody after police raided an address in High Street, which sparked a full closure of the main road for an hour.
43-year-old Stuart Randall, of High Street, Old Town, has since been charged with threatening a person – namely Nina Austin – with a blade in a public place.
45-year-old Austin, the alleged victim, was arrested following the incident and has been charged with failing to comply with the requirements of the sex offenders register.
Both suspects remain in police custody and are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday).
