A man took theory tests for ‘clients’ with a bandage around his head, a court heard.
Izmir Senaj, 28, pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by false representation at Swindon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Elizabeth Cox said the defendant, of Hounslow, wore a bandage wrapped around his head and face to take driving theory tests for Eastern European ‘clients’.
She added that he’d choose quiet test centres – including one in Swindon on 24 October 2019 – and told staff there he’d been injured at work, resulting in him needing to wear the face-obscuring bandage.
The court heard Senaj has 18 previous convictions for exactly the same offences and had previously served a three-year prison sentence.
Magistrates decided their powers of sentence were insufficient and adjourned the case to Swindon Crown Court on 14 May.
