A man’s accused of ‘sucking a woman’s breast’ after a social event in Wiltshire.

James Thomson faced a charge of sexual assault at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on 31 March.

Prosecutor Asha Seenauth said the 54-year-old is alleged to have entered a woman’s address without her permission before leading her to the sofa and pulling her dress down from the top.

It’s then that he’s claimed to have put his mouth on her left breast and sucked it.

The alleged sex attack is alleged to have followed a social event he attended in mid-2022. The court heard the Thomson, of Edmunds Road, Banbury, had only met the woman that day.

Ms Seenauth said that, if convicted, the defendant could be jailed for two-four years.

The magistrates sent the case to Salisbury Crown Court for a plea hearing on 3 May.

The alleged victim in this case has the lifelong legal right to anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
