Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault and theft that occurred in Swindon in the early hours of yesterday morning.
At approximately 4am, it is reported that the victim was walking on Linden Avenue to the junction of Pinehurst Road when she has been approached by a dark blue car.
A man has allegedly got out of the car and proceeded to assault the victim, taking her phone, before then attempting to drive the car at her.
The victim sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Great Western Hospital to be checked.
A man in his 20s, who is known to the victim, was arrested later the same day on suspicion of actual bodily harm and theft and has been released pending further enquiries.
