A man has been remanded in custody after a ‘knife attack’ in a Swindon street.
Armed police were deployed to Morrison Street in Rodbourne at around 5pm on Saturday (18 May) following reports of a male with a blade.
Two people sustained injuries in the incident, according to Wiltshire Police.
This morning (Monday) 27-year-old Luvumvu Ndombele is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court charged with three serious offences.
The defendant, of Morrison Street, is accused of attempting to cause two men grievous bodily harm.
It’s also alleged he was in possession of a kitchen knife in a public place.
In a statement on Sunday (19 May), a force spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a disorder in Rodbourne, Swindon yesterday afternoon (18/05).
“At around 5.05pm, two people suffered injuries which are not thought to be serious following an assault by a man in Morrison Street, Swindon.
“We are appealing for any witnesses or anybody with dashcam footage on Morrison Street, Morris Street and Jennings Street to please get in touch.
“We are also appealing for the driver of a Barnes branded white Ford van who may have witnessed the incident to please contact us.
