Wiltshire Police have provided an update after a man fell from a roof in Melksham.
Emergency services were called to Snarlton Farm, off Eastern Way, at around 7.30pm yesterday evening (Saturday, 3 September).
Police officers were called to the incident by members of the public as the man scaled buildings and moved across the roofs of several properties, including bungalows in Snarlton Lane.
He then entered Snarlton Farm, climbed on top of a cottage and then fell to the ground.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was tasked to the scene alongside local ambulance crews.
Despite falling from a two-storey building, the man sustained only minor injuries and did not require treatment in hospital.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said the man “appeared to have slipped from the roof”, with local residents claiming he was shouting phrases like “God take me”.
“He did not attend hospital and no arrests were made”, they added.
It’s understood the man was suffering a mental health episode at the time.
