A man has died after collapsing outside a a cinema in Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to Marshfield Road at around 3.30pm on Saturday (8 March).
A man, aged in his 70s, suffered a cardiac arrest and medics provided urgent care at the roadside.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance’s critical care team attended in a rapid response car, working alongside two ambulance crews and an ambulance officer.
Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin has been informed and our thoughts are with his family at this incredibly difficult time”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
Police cordoned off the area as 999 crews attended, but the area was reopen by 4.30pm.
