Police have charged a suspect after man was stabbed in the face in Swindon.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance was deployed to the town centre after the victim, James George, sustained a significant knife wounds on Friday afternoon (28 February).
Critical care medics, supporting ambulance crews and police, provided urgent care before airlifting him to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Detectives launched an urgent search for the suspect, Paul Bruce – who is understood to be known the the victim.
The 42-year-old, of Bowman Close, Swindon, has since been arrested and charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been remanded in police custody to appear appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday).
