A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Devizes.
Emergency services rushed to reports of a man having been stabbed in the Sidmouth Street area of the town at around 12.30pm on Saturday (29 June).
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was flown to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with stab wounds – but is said to be in a stable condition.
Sidmouth Street was cordoned off as a crime scene while the incident was dealt with. Roseland Avenue was also shut by police – as armed police attended an address.

The suspect, 26-year-old Kubilay Bostanli, was arrested just two metres from the victim.
The man, of Anzio Road, Devizes, has since been charged with attempting to murder Kavan Whelan.
He also faces charges of harassing Kavan Whelan, assaulting Simon Webb, assaulting PC Crabbe and possession of a knife in a public place.
Bostanli was remanded in police custody to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court this morning (Monday).
UPDATE: The defendant was remanded in custody to appear at Salisbury Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 31 July.
