Four girls have been hospitalised after smoking illegal drugs, police say.
The youths, aged between 14-16 and believed to be from the Chippenham area, suffered adverse reactions to an illicit substance on Friday 17 May.
They were taken to hospital for treatment and Wiltshire Police launched an investigation.
Following enquiries by officers, a man from Calne – aged in his 20s – was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug yesterday (21 May).
The suspect has since been released on bail while the probe into events continues.
PC Lizzie Wright said: “Following reports of four young girls becoming unwell we launched an investigation and swiftly arrested a man in connection with the incident.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to remind parents to speak with their children about the dangers of taking unknown substances when it is unclear what they may be laced with.”
