A woman has been rescued through an upstairs window on Malmesbury High Street.
The busy road was closed for around four hours on Saturday afternoon (26 October) after paramedics requested help removing a patient from a building.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the significant 999 presence was a result because of “the complex nature of the property” involved.
It tasked a fire crew from Corsham, a technical rescue crew from Stratton, a heavy rescue unit from Trowbridge and the aerial ladder platform appliance from Swindon.
Firefighters were able to bring the patient out of the property safely and she was taken to hospital.
Emergency services had left the scene by around 5pm and police reopened the High Street.
