In a statement on social media, the force said: “The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Wiltshire until late Sunday night, potentially causing difficult driving conditions on our roads.
“If you need to travel during adverse weather conditions, take extra care and give yourself plenty of time for your journey.
“Motorists… Before setting off, take the time to make sure your windscreen is completely clear. Clear any ice or snow, fully demist the inside of your windscreen and ensure any snow is removed from your roof.
“Don’t forget your lights, wing mirrors and side/back windows to ensure they are also clear.
“When driving, reduce your speed, keep well back from the vehicle in front and allow plenty of time to slow down. Use your lights in dull weather conditions.
“Pedestrians… Take extra care when walking, even on roads/paths which have been treated. Think about your visibility and ensure other road users can see you.”
