A little boy has been airlifted after falling from the window of a home Trowbridge.

Emergency services were called to the serious incident in Towpath Road at around 4pm this afternoon (Monday).

A boy, whose age has not been confirmed but is believed to be under the age of ten, fell from a first-floor window – landing in the brambles below.

Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance raced to the scene in both a critical care car and the helicopter, which landed nearby.

Other 999 crews were also at the incident, with the boy receiving urgent treatment.

He was then airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for assessment. His condition is unknown at this stage.

Police cordoned off the house a crime scene – with at least five officers in attendance.

A professional, believed to be from children’s services at Wiltshire Council, was also present.

Wiltshire Police was approached for comment at 5.50pm, but had not responded at the time of publishing.
