A 23-year-old man has admitted violently attacking his girlfriend in Salisbury.
Appearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (24 January), Callum Donnelly pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman in her own home yesterday morning.
Police were called to a flat in the city at around 6.40am by a concerned local resident who heard a disorder and the victim screaming “Callum get off me”.
Prosecutor Keith Ballinger said the defendant, of Rambridge Crescent, Salisbury, was spotted running from the property by the next-door neighbour.
When PC Moth arrived at the scene, she found the victim visibly upset with blood around her lips and bruising to her right eye.
It’s said Donnelly attended her address without prior arrangement and violently attacked his girlfriend, accusing her of being unfaithful.
During the incident, the woman was dragged to the floor and bitten on her lower back. He proceeded to kick her in the head and body before stomping on her head and back.
Despite his victim suffering injuries to her face, back, elbow, shoulder and left arm, she did not wish to make a complaint and is not supporting proceedings against Donnelly.

He was located and arrested shortly before 10am and is said to have made significant comments to arresting officer: “They cheat on you all the f**king time, emotionally kill you and play the victim”.
In interview, he was shown body-worn video footage showing his victim talking to police. He responded: “I don’t need to see this”.
Donnelly has previous convictions for assaulting his mother in 2015.
Mark Glendenning, defending, asked for a pre-sentence report prior to sentencing.
District Judge Joanna Dickens questioned why the crime was not charged as actual bodily harm (ABH).
“I feel duty-bound to raise this, why has this not been charged as ABH?”, she said. No response was made by the prosecution.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report and sent to Salisbury Magistrates’ Court. Sentencing is due to take place on 28 February.
Donnelly was released on bail with conditions not to contact his victim directly or indirectly, and not to go to her address – a condition which will be monitored by a GPS tag.
