A joyriding duo have left a pedestrian seriously injured in Swindon.

A stolen green Vauxhall Adam Glam ploughed into a man on the junction of Pinehurst Road and Bay Tree Court yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 30 January).

The incident, which happened at around 3.35pm, caused the victim – aged in his 40s – serious wounds.

The driver and occupant of the Vauxhall fled the scene on foot in the direction of Hornbeam Court.

Efforts are ongoing to locate them, with police launching an investigation.

They are described as white, one with blue jeans and a white top, and the other in all black. One of the suspects had a beard, the other was wearing a hat.

The victim isn’t believed to have sustained life-changing or life-threatening injuries. He was treated at Great Western Hospital, where he arrived by ambulance.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Residents in the area are being asked to check Ring doorbells for any footage showing these males or this vehicle.

“If anyone has any further information regarding this collision, please contact 101 quoting log 214 of yesterday’s date.”
