At least seven sheep have died in a collision on a main road near Chippenham.

Police were called to the scene at around 10pm, after one vehicle struck the animals while travelling along the A4 between Pickwick near Corsham and Chippenham this evening.

It’s thought the sheep escaped from the Corsham Court estate and make it into the road.

The driver and passenger of the car involved in the crash were left shaken but unhurt.

The road remains partially blocked, but traffic is moving past the scene.
