Four men were arrested after they were spotted leaving back of lorry near Chippenham.
Police raced to a report of the males jumping from the parked vehicle at a truck stop near Junction 17 of the M4 at around 9.20am this morning.
When officers arrived at the location, believed to be Chippenham Pit Stop off the B4122 at Draycot Cerne, a thorough search of the immediate area was carried out.
Police dog (PD) Conon and his handler were called in to support the countryside search.
Two of the males were found in a field by Chippenham officers, whilst PD Conon tracked across other fields, through hedges and found the other pair hiding in a ditch.
“Four men, all aged in their 20s and believed to be from Albania, have been arrested on suspicion of entering the country illegally.”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
Adding: “All four are currently in custody at Melksham Police Station and the case will now be passed to the UK Border Agency.”
