This is the first picture of a woman accused of killing Harry Parker in a hit-and-run.
The 14-year-old boy was walking to school when he was struck down and killed by a car in Akers Way, Swindon, on 25 November 2022.
The driver failed to stop at the scene and later that day, police recovered a grey Jeep Compass belonging to Ivy Mwangi – which had front-end damage.
The 52-year-old home healthcare company owner, of Doulton Close, Redhouse, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (26 March).
Mwangi pleaded not guilty to causing death by careless driving.
She offered no indication to two further charges – causing death by unlicensed driving and causing death by uninsured driving.
The case was deemed too serious for the magistrates’ court and the case was sent to Swindon Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 3 May.
The defendant was released on unconditional bail.
