Firefighters at the scene of a major blaze on a landfill site near Calne say that twelve fire crews are currently working hard to ‘contain the fire before darkness’.
The blaze broke out at around 4pm this afternoon at Hills Waste Solutions in Lower Compton.
Alongside the twelve fire engines, there are also two water carriers, an operational command lorry and a number of fire incident management staff at the scene.
