Firefighters have tackled three outdoor fires in the Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge area, including a blaze which threatened crops and hedgerows.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were mobilised to a raging fire in a field near Woolley Grange at 12.04pm on Sunday (16 August).
On arrival, Bradford on Avon firefighters found an area measuring approximately 40 metres by 40 metres alight.
The flames were rapidly spreading towards nearby crops and hedgerows.
Crews used a triple extension ladder to gain access before tackling the blaze with two hose reel jets, beaters and wildfire knapsacks.
A thermal imaging camera was also used during the incident.
Bradford on Avon Fire Station thanked Woolley Grange Hotel for providing firefighters with freshly made drinks while they dealt with the blaze.
Crews were later called to two further fires in the open.
At 5.15pm, the same firefighters attended a fence fire in Trowbridge and extinguished it using a hose reel jet.
A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for any remaining hotspots.
At 8.09pm, crews were called to another fence fire, this time in Bradford on Avon.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet and wildfire knapsack to extinguish the flames before checking for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.
No injuries were reported for each incident.
