Firefighters battled a blaze at Swindon Crown Court this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services rushed to Islington Street, in Swindon town centre, at around 1am.
The court roof was damaged by flames after a fire developed in the second floor plant room.
Firefighters were on scene for six hours dealing with the incident, leaving at around 7am.
The court building’s roof was severely damaged as a result.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said that six fire crews worked alongside an aerial ladder platform from Swindon and support unit from Devizes.
A spokesperson confirmed that the flames were “extinguished by 14 breathing apparatus wearers using hose reel jets, main jets and the aerial ladder platform”.
