The fire service has shared new photos of a blaze at a Wiltshire landfill site.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) attended Hills Waste Solutions in Compton Bassett, near Calne, at around 6pm on Sunday (9 June).
It followed a call from a member of the public reporting a large smoke plume, which could be smelt strongly in the north-east of the county within an hour.
The black cloud and raging flames could be seen as far away as Westbury. See our drone photographs of the fire taken shortly after the 999 call >

The fire is understood to involve around approximately 10,000 square metres of waste – with around a dozen fire crews on scene alongside fire officers and pumping appliances.
Firefighters on the fire ground have shared photographs of the blaze on social media as they work to bring the flames under control and reduce the amount of smoke.
A DWFRS spokesperson said: “Crews have remained at the scene overnight with the high volume pump being used to supply water to three monitors and three hose reel jets.
“The focus remains on stopping the fire spread and reducing the smoke plume to assist with day time operations.
“Residents are still advised to close windows and doors.
“No casualties have been reported.”
