A fake veterinary surgeon, who was sentenced for practicing in Swindon back in 2011, has been sentenced again after being caught working in Somerset.
Patrick Keniry spent some time employed at a practice in Taunton, where he was believed to be a qualified professional named Mike Evans.
During his time there, he operated on many animals and on one occasion, a cat died.
Keniry has four previous convictions for impersonating vets, including one from 2011 after he claimed to be a vet for three years at Swindon-located surgery.
Jailing him for three years for fraud at Taunton Crown Court, Judge David Ticehurst said he was a “fantasist” who “would probably carry on committing offences like this for as long as he thought he could get away with it.”
