A man was found dead in a Swindon street early this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services raced to reports of a man having been found unresponsive in March Close, Abbey Meads, at around 6.30am.
Despite the best efforts of local residents, police and paramedics, the man – who was aged in his 50s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
A fire crew from Stratton were called to the incident to provide lighting to allow first responders to provide life-saving care, which was unsuccessful.
Wiltshire Police has confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, and his next of kin have been informed.
“Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time”, a force spokesperson said.
South Western Ambulance Service said that two double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer attended the scene.
