An elderly man has died after collapsing in the street in Amesbury.
Emergency services were called to London Road, close to Kitchener Road, at around 11.30am yesterday (Wednesday 11 February).
South Western Ambulance Service said that they sent two double-crewed ambulances and an operations officer to the incident.
Police closed the road as paramedics battled to save the life of a man aged in his 80s.
Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
‘Our thoughts are with his family’, a spokesperson added.
