A drunk woman who crashed into a car on the Magic Roundabout and then left the scene of the incident has had her driving licence taken away at Swindon Magistrates Court.

Lucy Dullea, 21, from Swindon, has been disqualified from driving for 16 months, ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and attend 20 days of rehab activity.

The court heard how she has an issue with alcohol and a conviction for battery from 2017 has caused her to struggle to find employment.

Police officers on general patrol had come across a car with extensive damage on the roundabout at around 11.35pm on 12 January. The vehicle involved – Dullea’s Mini had left the scene.

Her friend, Jack Corcoran, 25, initially took the blame for the crash with officers came knocking but it later transpired that Dullea had in fact been driving while intoxicated and wearing heels.

Corcoran was fined £100 after pleading guilty to to obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty. He’s also been ordered to pay court costs of £85 and £30 to victim services.
