A driver has been rescued from an overturned Mini following a crash on the A346.
The vehicle left the carriageway and flipped onto its side in a ditch alongside the busy main route in the Ogbourne St George area at 3.30am today (Wednesday 9 November).
Emergency services rushed to the scene – where they found the male driver in the car.
Firefighters – attending from Swindon and Marlborough – used tools to secure the Mini in place whilst paramedics assisted the casualty ahead of extrication.
The man was eventually freed from the vehicle and handed over to the ambulance service. Fire crews were stood down at 6.57am – more than three hours after they arrived.
It’s yet not clear whether the driver sustained any serious injuries. Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
