A driver has ‘denied speeding’ despite destroying a car on the A36 in Salisbury.
Police were called to the crash on Castle Roundabout at around 3pm this afternoon (Sunday).
A white Ford Fiesta ploughed into a wall, leaving the car with significant damage – which saw the nearside axle completely ripped out.
Nobody is believed to have sustained any serious injuries, but the roundabout and Castle Street remains partially obstructed by the incident.
A spokesperson for the Roads Policing Unit said officers “are dealing with a single vehicle RTC in Salisbury where the Fiesta some how hit the wall.”
Adding: “Yet we are assured from the driver speed was not an issue…”
