A young man has been attacked by a dog, and then its owner, in Chippenham.
At around 1pm this afternoon – during the family fun day at John Coles Park – a small German Shepherd-type dog came up to an 18-year-old man, allegedly biting his hand and puncturing the skin in two places.
Following the bite, the dog’s owner allegedly came up to the man, grabbed him around the neck and caused bruising on both sides of his neck.
The man, who has Asperger syndrome and learning difficulties, was with his mum at the time of the incident.
The owner of the dog is described as male, aged in his 20s, tall in height, short red dyed hair with a fringe.
Wiltshire Police is understood to be investigating the incident.
