A worried deer was seen running from a Chippenham hedgerow this evening, after a number of young teenagers set fire to it.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Avenue La Fleche at around 6pm today, Saturday 6 May, following a 999 call reporting the blaze.
Around five metres of hedgerow was destroyed in the fire, which was extinguished by firefighters from Chippenham Fire Station using a hose reel.
