A newly released dashcam footage has captured the moment two cars collided head-on on a busy Swindon road last week.
Emergency services were called to Pipers Way, near Nationwide HQ, at around 8.20am on Thursday 13 February.
The crash involved a white Ford Fiesta and a black Renault Kadjar on a straight stretch of the carriageway.
The impact left both vehicles with significant front-end damage, blocking the road during the morning rush hour.
Two people sustained suspected minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The road remained shut for around two hours while ambulance crews attended and recovery teams arranged for both damaged vehicles to be removed.
Traffic built up in the surrounding area before the route was reopened later in the morning.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Officers were called to a road traffic collision between two cars, a Ford Fiesta and Renault Kadjar, on Pipers Way in Swindon at 8.21am this morning (13/02).
“Two people were taken to hospital with suspected minor injuries.
“The driver of the Renault Kadjar has been reported for dangerous driving.
“The road was closed in both directions but has since reopened.”
The video of the collision, shared by ASC AUDIO, shows the two vehicles travelling towards each other before impacting head-on.
